Hi there,
Having turned the house upside down last night, I cannot find my GCSE or A-Level certificates anymore - so they are lost.
I have my foundation degree certificate and Chartered Management Accountant diploma, that's ok.
It might not be relevant as my wife is the main applicant anyway and she does have all of her certificates which we will be able to send.
But can anybody remind me (just in case): is there a way of getting copies of your GCSE & A-Level results anymore?
We're in England and I sat my GCSE's in 1988!
Thanks for any advice.:o

I thought mine were lost forever so I e-mailed the NZAQ and told them so - and that I couldn't get replacements because the school as now a housing estate. They just told me to write in and explain. I did find them eventually though so it didn't matter. My point is, I think they're more concerned with the higher qualifications.

I also had to get new one for my OH's CSE as he never received any at 16. As I recalled, you need to contact the school where you took your GCSE to give you the name of examination board they used for each subject before you can contact examination board. Schools should able to give you the contact number for all examination board for you. What you need ready in your hand, is your name (in maidan name if married since), date of birth, year you took exam, name of school and subjects you took. I can't remember whether did we pay for it or not as it was two years ago when I did it.

I'm pretty sure we just contacted the Examination Board (we were lucky enough to be able to remember which they were) and gave them info on school attended, year exam taken and subject. I don't recall there being a fee for this.

For what its worth (I cant answer the lost certs part), my application was submitted to NZQA in May, without all the required junior certs as these had been lost etc and cannot reasonably be replaced.
I got email from them last night indicating that they had all the documents needed, implying that the missing junior stuff wasnt a big deal. I did however submit this with a 1 pager cover page explaining this and clearly stating that I could not have got access to N5 if I did not have N4,3,2,1 etc.

I needed to get a copy of my GCSE results a few years ago because I needed it for something. I did mine in 1988 too and I rang the school I was at who helped me track down an official certified copy. Having said that, the link that chc 4 us has given may well solve the problem! Good luck.
