I'm a bit worried about my medical at the moment.
The thing is i've got a kidney condition called bergers disease, i put down all the info about it on my EOI, i wont need a kidney transplant in the imediate future as this is a very slow disease and not everyone with it needs a transplant , i have 100% kidney function and my specialist is happy with how i am going. He also said he would write a medical certificate.
Anyway my problem is i worry about putting in our ITA and then getting a knockback.
Surely when they looked at my EOI they would have said NO at that point, i think??

I know this is a tricky one but thought i would write it to get it of my chest.
Thanks to anyone who reads it, anyway it's always good to read about others experiences. :?

Just copied this from NZIS site. I guess it depends on just how they want to interprete (sp) the rules when they come in in April.
My view would be much the same as your`s though, in that, surely this would/should have been picked up on EOI.

From 4 April 2005 there will be a new acceptable standard of health
The way we define an acceptable standard of health will change for both people intending to come to New Zealand as residents and for those coming on a temporary basis.

Residence applications

For residence applications, you will be considered to have an acceptable standard of health if you are:

unlikely to be a danger to public health, and
unlikely to impose significant costs or demands on New Zealand’s health services and/or education services, and
able to undertake the functions for which you were granted entry.

Thanks for the reply.

We will be putting in our ITA before 4th april, LUCKILY!

If they looked at my condition on my EOI, and then they knock me back in the ITA, realy they would be ripping me off for £1,000+.

just a thought.
