Hi there
Was just wondering if anyone had some experience of this or could shed some light.
I won't go into too much detail as I have posted before about this issue in great depth but just to say that we submitted an EOI last year, got selected, got ITA and then failed qualifications assessment as a Teacher so had to withdraw ITA because no longer had enough points. We had a second option because OH has other qualifications in Environ Science (also on shortage list) but our case officer said that we couldn't fall back on that because all OH's experience was in teaching (6 years).
Now, we have enough points to submit another EOI, 105 points BUT it includes 10 points for a qualification in an absolute skills shortage (environ science) so we could be picked from the pool looking at recent pool draws. We get 105 points without including ANY recent work experience - zippo - because we get enough points without this. OH has been working for the last 3 months as an environ scientist but it's not enough to claim work experience points. We have left off the EOI his 6 years work experience as a teacher because we don't want them to say the same thing as they did last time (ie that he has all his work experience in teaching and therefore can't claim points for environmental science).
Does that make sense? Anyway, the question is - do you think we will have problems if we get selected? They obviously will still have us on file and so will obviously know that OH used to be a teacher, will they have any grounds to look back on this information and chuck us out because he was a teacher for 6 years? Has anyone submitted an EOI without any work experience? Or claiming work experience that does not match their qualifications?
I am desparate for some advice before we pay the EOI submission fee and because I couldn't bear to go through all that disappointment again.
Thank you
