Does anyone have any advice on how to submit the thousand-and-one documents that make up your ITA?

We were thinking of putting everything (EOI, passports, evidence, certificates etc) into a boxfile and sending that, but that's not going to hold everything as well as a big envelope, so I thought I'd ask on here.

Any help most appreciated!

If you are close to London I would hand it in by hand as they will go through the paperwork with you while you are there to see if all documents are provided. If not you might courier it to New Zealand house.

We used a sturdy envelope and courier.
We inquired with INZ if we could hand it in in person but they told us not to. They must have been very busy at the time :roll
That was my weekend trip to London out the window :(

Bournemouth to London isn't really feasible, sorry.

Sturdy envelope it is then :)

Even though we took it in by hand, we used 2 big envelopes with labelled file dividers itemsing each document. They go thro' in a very specific order so if everything is easy to see, it'll make it much quicker.

Good luck!

They actually ask you not to do that, somewhere in their documentation. We just sent the whole lot in an ordered pile in a sturdy envelope, sent by registered post.

I know that there is a certain order though, I think (if I can remember rightly) put in order of the questions of the ITA?

Also put a covering letter in detailing what you have included with your application and in what order, sounds daunting but not too bad.

Oh, and the very best of luck!

as far as i remember they send you a bit of paper in with the ITA that tells you what order to put them in :)

The ITA comes with a checklist, I used that as a coversheet.

Yep just collate it all in the order they require and they do specifically ask that no polypockets, box files, folders etc be used. I found that quite hard and had the coloured file dividers etc at the ready - slight stationery obsession that am weaning myself off :laugh

We did as they asked with a big industrial sized paperclip, sturdy envelope and couried it down :)

I went to staples and used the DHL pack and send service.... initially carried everything there in a box file in the order given in the notes that came with ITA. Transferred to a large DHL box, cost me atenner and took 24 hours to reach New Zealand House. We used this service for the NZQA assessment and for a translation we needed (used the translation service in Wellington) and we had no problems at all - would recommend it. I too am a bit of a stationary junkie, and it was hard going 'cold turkey' (wot, no poly pockets allowed!?!) but am now at the waiting stage. Don't trust the post, so have opted to collect everything from London when ready to be returned (Glasgow to London seems a bit extreme but worth it for peace of mind )

I miss Staples - seriously I do :wah I used to window shop in stationery stores, my desk at work had a fantastic array of stationery items and not from the Council cupboard let me tell you :yes

Needless to say I have other things to obsess about here like the price of cheese and what gorge we're going to walk up this weekend :)
