As recommended in the latest Destination NZ, I bought a copy of "Kiwis might fly (around New Zealand on two big wheels ) by Polly Evans.
I am NOT a big reader, but have almost finished it since Sat. pm
This book provides a light hearted but quite informative insight into NZ life in general, and sets the scene nicely. Well worth £6.99

You must have been too busy in your book to check the 'Airplane reading' thread Timbo.
A most enjoyable read though.
Cheers mate. ;)

By the way Tim, what happened with your application?
I guess you moved agents??

We are not sure which way to attack it at the moment visa wise. All I can say is that having got our fingers burnt (they are refusing to refund my £750) by one agent, we are not in any hurry to engage another.
Now thinking along the lines of going on visitors visas and finding a job. I have in fact got a couple of tentative offers on the boil, but we all know the reality is that they are reluctant to give anything concrete until you are out there. Not giving up though.
PS. If anyone attends the expo in Earls ct and spots a balding fella loitering near a certain agents stand and trying to put people off using them....guess who that is likely to be?
