I've had a Brita water filter jug for ages now and it suddenly occured to me are these something used in NZ. Maybe not this specific brand, but one where you buy the filter and slot it in to the jug for the water to drain through.

Do you suffer from limescale in New Zealand??? And are there any areas worse than others?

Cheers

We have a Brita water filter, and they have both types here (Maxtra and the older cylindrical type).

As I understand it, there aren't the problems with limescale here, except in some areas during droughts when they get water from boreholes.

Coming from a hard water area in the UK, I was all the time getting caught out by soft water in NZ - you have a built in habit of how you rub the soap on your hands to wash them, and you end up with a handful of bubbles it's hard to get rid of!

Whatever you do, don't put bubble bath in one of those spa baths :uhoh
