Hello

We've attempted to submit our EOI this evening, however after following the link to make the payment online we've had a warning stating:

The security certificate presented by this website has expired or is not yet valid.

It is possible the certificate is no longer trustworthy

We recommend you close this webpage.

It's odd as the link has sent us to the Westpac Internet Payment site and the amount required of $400 is correct, but at this stage we've opted to quite without submitting our card details... just to confirm, on the NZIS it states our EOI has been subitted but payment is pending.

Look forward to your comments as soon as, thanks :nice1

Which site were you trying to make your payment on??

It could be down to your internet settings, depending on what you have in your security set up.

May be nothing at all, just check your security settings on your pc. If it went to a secure page (https://) you will be ok, especially if it is Westpac.

Good luck with your application, gotta go, off to the physio - again!!

Hi Steve

Yeah, it pops up with https://www.virtual-payments-suite.co.nz/... (then our personal data required for transaction).

The web page looks authentic (i.e. Westpac) but I've got reservations with the website address... is this the website others have been directed to ... seems a bit dodgy to me!!!

...The security certificate presented by this website has expired or is not yet valid....

According to the details of the security certificate, it seems that it expired on June 7th.

It's a Verisign certificate that was issued over 2 years ago and seems legit other than the fact if expired yesterday. Usually, this is due to sloppy administrative procedures. Not very professional on the part of Westpac.

If you can wait a day or two, it might be worth seeing if they get the certificate renewed.

I am pretty sure that this is the site I used for payment when I submitted my EOI a month ago.

Doesn't appear to be a Westpac issue but Electronic Transaction Services Ltd instead from Whois virtual-payments-suite.co.nz (http://www.who.is/whois-nz/ip-address/virtual-payments-suite.co.nz/)

As this company handles over 75% of all NZ EFTPOS transactions, I'm sure it will be OK, but a little suprising that they haven't updated the certificate.

Thanks Ian & cpgrant... from memory I seem to remember the next draw is 18th June, however we're keen to submit payment as our EOI is pending awaiting monies. So you reckon it's safe to go for it? :uhoh

... all sorted, payed up and as a result on the NZIS it now states "Payment Received" so we're happy with that :)

I surprised the security certificate hasn't been updated... poor show if you ask me :roll

Having said that, we'll be happy seeing "Decision Successful" towards the end of June... what'll be, will be :D

getting there slowly thanks, but sitting in this winter sun is awfully hard - actually sweating buckets here on the deck, I kid you not! Would you be able sit out in a pair of shorts in the middle of December and feel yourself getting sunburnt? :laugh

Best of luck guys
