Hi,

We've just found this forum, all good stuff, basically, we've been to nz a few weeks ago, came back with job offer, submitted EoI, been selected, but turned job offer down, not keen on being tied in, so finding new job offer.

Choices in New plymouth, wellington, wanganui, hamilton, any advice would be brilliant, house goes on market tomorrow, got two weeks to get job offer or EoI stops.

see ya.

Welcome to the forum - - can't help with the locations for you, but need a fridge here at the moment it is roasting in this sunshine :laugh

Hamilton/Waikato is a good place to live, handy for both coasts and Auckland should you wish to go there.

House on market hopefully it'll go quick, got to sell boat,to pay for recce. Get rid of car, eventually, she wants another peugeot in nz, i think a nice dirty ute would suit better, but i'm only a man(what do I know)

Out of interest whats the best area around Hamilton?????????

Hi!

We're hopefully moving to that area of the Waikato in November (fingers crossed on visas etc)- I have to say, I really quite like Cambridge (a short distance east, and much smaller than Hamilton), but I guess it depends - what sort of thing are you looking for in a place to live?

Hi,

we went through cambridge, seemed fairly english but didn't see that much stayed the night in motel there, good value kfc, but mash and gravy was a bit different.

We're looking for some where safe but not too quiet, reasonsible house prices but would like big garden. I'd love to be by the sea, i know there's a large lake near cambridge. I think its a case of getting there and then finding the nice places.
