Although deep inside I think I already know the answer, am I correct in thinking that if both myself and my partner needed full assessments, we would both have to submit individual application forms and therefore twice the fees?
It's not like the EOI application where 2 people are on the form but there's only one cost?

*wishful thinking*:D

Absolutely spot on. I just submitted the assessments for myself and OH. I need the full one for teaching purposes and OH only needs his for points verification. Mine cost NZ$486 - that included the return courier fee - and OH's only cost NZ$75 because we did it online. Don't forget also to tick every box for which you might need veritifcation - i.e. there are four boxes, one is for immigration, one for teacher's registration and one is for teacher's salaries or something. I can't remember what the fourth box is for. If you don't tick ALL the boxes you need and need further verification at a later date then will charge you NZ$50 each time they have to verify it for something new.

Good luck gathering all your documentation - that's the laborious bit!

Thanks for that (even though it doesn't cheer my day up!)
Just to clarify, how did your OH do it online? Was that just a pre-assessment?
I only ask as I'm assuming they need to see physical evidence of your qualifications?

Yes, it was a pre-assessment. We were sitting on 110 points without a job offer and this would take us up to 130 or 140 so it's only extra points really. We don't need the qualification verified as I'm pretty sure he's planning to retire when we get out there (again!).

I should clarify that really because it makes him sound like he doesn't want to work. Oops - better not let him see this thread. He has taken early retirement twice but gets really fed up and ends up going back to work again. I'm hoping he will actually have some time to himself in NZ and enjoy the outdoor life.

That sounds just like me :D

Had my OH not already registered on here then I'd swear it was you

Good Luck! :cheers

Thanks Stevie. Where are you planning on going when you get out there? Our thoughts are between Christchurch and Nelson but for lots of logistical reasons it looks like it will be Christchurch. OH should then have access to plenty of stuff to keep him occupied.
