Hi
We are South Africans, who are currently applying for our British Passports.
My question is do we wait until we have our British passports in our hands before we even start our EOI or while Home Office is dealing with our passport can we start doing our EOI.
Hopefully everyone understands what I am trying to ask.

You won't need to send in the passports until the ITA, but I think you may need to provide the passport numbers on the EOI. I suggest you start looking at the online EOI, fill in as much as possible - you should see then whether you need passport info or not for definite :)

Hi,
You do need to put the passport number in on your EOI application.
I know that mine was renewed between my online EOI and full ITA response and I amended the passport number on the official "amendments" page of the paper application. But that was renewing a British one so not sure how it'll work if you provide SA ones now then update with GB ones... I'm sure there will be a way to deal with it though!
Good luck!

You only have to enter the passport number of your South African passport, which won't change even if you have British Passports, no? I would have thought it fairly irrelevant at this stage for the EOI if you have applied for other passports or not.
Good luck,

Depends in which passport you want the visa I suppose.
If you apply now, and just ignore your British passport application, by the time you get your ITA I imagine you could just add the additional information for your British passport into it then.

Hi
Thanx so much everyone. I might just apply on my South African passport and then I don't have to wait for the Home Office for my British passport as I found out today will take a minimum of 7 months or longer, And I am not prepared to wait that long before I submit or start the process.
Thanx again your answers were really helpful
Regards
Zelda :)
