Hi,

I am currently working in Singapore as a ERP consultant (IT). Just finished my 2nd round of interview chances are very high and will be based in Auckland.

I need some advice here:
1. I would like to go and settle down first before bringing my family over. Normally what sort of migration package company can offer? Is that advisable to move the family only after I settle comfortably in Auckland?

2. The term and condition for the company is if they help in relocation, I need to work for them at least 2 years, is that fair?

3. Once I get the job offer, can I start apply for EOI? Or I need to get the work permit before applying for it.

Thanks in advance.

Adelyn

If you have enough points you can go for PR but it does take longer than a work visa so I would suggest you see if your prospective employer will wait whilst you gain PR.

Re: the second part of your point one. What do your other half and children think about that issue? They are the ones who will be coping with either being left without your customary presence, OR moving between temporary homes while you get settled in NZ. There's stress involved either way, and it'll be a very individual family choice of which they feel they would face better.
