Congratulations we are a bit further north from Wellington on the Kapiti Coast. But for furnished rentals I also would look at bachs as they are furnished.

Hi Guys, thanks for the warm welcome - Im getting the impression im going to be needing you ALOT!!!!

My work is within Telecoms, and im So looking forwad to my new role as its a bit different to what Ive been doing before.....

Ill be looking for somewhere to live, and loads to sort out.

Would a visit first be worthwhile? Im thinking of coming out with my OH and staying and sending him back to sort house/horses - ex life!!!!??

Any tips or things you wished people had told you before the move.. (ie bring warm socks!)

a visit would be worthwhile if you can afford it and you have things you want to find out. A fair number of us just do as much research as possible on the net and cross our fingers - when we arrive in october will be the first tiem we set foot on NZ soil :D

bear in mind the actual costs of emigration are quite high and if you could use the recce money for shipping your stuff over, flights, fee costs etc then you might want to reconsider :)
