My friend has had a quote for $1100 for 29 days all insurance included...this is to book now...a week before. Is this a good price? Would it be cheaper to book when she arrived at the airport?

I think my in laws have just paid about $1900 for 13 days when they got here for a 2 berth with shower/toilet so to me it sounds good

That's only about $38 a day. Sounds like a superb deal to me. What company is that, and what vehicle? Could be one to bookmark.

I'm new on here, but just had to reply to your message. I used to work in campervan insurance, and having a knowledge of motorhomes we decided to look into getting one for our reccy to NZ. Something to beware of when hiring a campervan is the policy excess for accidental damage. The price does look good but sometimes there is a $5,000excess in the small print, and to waiver that fee to $0, you normally end up paying almost double the daily rate. Hopefully your friend has already discovered this. It does seem a very good price and if as long as they're happy with the excess etc, i'd tell them to go for it too!
