I'm American and applying for a visa when I get to NZ in two weeks--so I need a return ticket to show the border officials. I'm allowed to stay for '3 months' according to the INZ website, but i've read on here that that equates to 90 days--90 days falls on a different day than 3 months, due to some months having 31 days.

Which is it? The price difference in flights is about $700, so it matters ALOT.
