Ok I know its been done to death!
We are planning to bring everything we own, BUT is there anything I should be stocking up on?
So far Ive got
Kids shoes (£10) for school, playing etc For next few sizes!
Clothes (as above)
Plug adaptors
And my minds has just gone totally blank!:uhoh
Ok so what else? I heard fabric was a good one? (Was thinking of buying the cheap generic fabric blinds in a few sizes from Ikea?)
And on a last note - does anyone want anything bringing? It looks like we going for big container so will probably have room?

So have you not checked out K-Mart? We got a decent set from there and very cheap when you wait for the sales. They also stock separates for the same set so was able to buy additional pieces.
Of course they might not be to your liking :) took us ages to find a set that we were happy with that didn't cost a fortune.

Plug adaptors
...
Do you mean plug adaptors or multi-way extension leads?
I wouldn't bother with more than a couple of plug adaptors just to get you started, but would bring over a load of multi-way extension leads.
What you do is change the plug on them to a NZ one, and then you can plug in loads of UK plugs into the sockets, saves you changing the plugs or having to use adaptors.

PROPER Cadburys dairy milk!!
If your kids have sensitive skin - a supply of your own washing tablets to give you chance to find something here they don't react to (I brought a load of persil non Bio in suitcase and boxes by the dozen in container - and get visitors to keep my supply going - my sons skin doesn't like the persil sensitive here!)
Also a selection of birthday and greeting cards, (unless you make your own) the selection here is rubbish, none with nice verses, and very expensive too!

Could be. ;)
I've spent ages trying to get a really nice card for my dad and auntie this week (thats what prompted me)
Mothers and fathers day cards just aren't the same. I used to know in the Uk when I'd found the right card - I'd be struggling to rad it in the shop for the tears, but they just don't don't seem to be big on verses here, yet i really want those lovely cards even more now we are so far away - i can't always find the words to say myself!
Definately on my list if we have a trip back is a visit to the card warehouse for a stock up! :nice1
