Caroline, being a volunteer, has known since thursday but was sworn to secrecy. She and all the staff our very excited and it is a wonderful thing for Auckland Zoo.Its not advisable to go just yet as you will not see anything. Once they are out and about we will let you know, this is not likely for a couple of months

So is it one or two cubs, seems a bit vague at the moment?

Can't wait to go and see them either - do you fancy a day trip after the school hols Milliemoo so we can go and stare at them without hordes of kids around?

I cant wait to see them either... but prob wont be for a while though..

Must be frisky season at the zoo, they had to recently cancel the giraffe feeding encounter as they were too busy.... erm... indulging in special cuddles!

Its definetly two. straight from the horses mouth. They thought it was one at first but the other one was hiding behind mum. The keepers are leaving them alone at the moment. We will let you all know when will be the best time to see them as they will not be allowed out for sometime, but as soon as it happens we will let you know

LOL!:D

My granddaughter (now aged 2) will be fascinated. They've got a season-ticket for the Auckland zoo, and every time they've gone there, ever since she could express a preference, she's wanted to go and see the tigers. She goes up to the glass and l-o-o-k-s intently, and most times, one of the tigers will get up and come over and look back into her face from just the other side of the window.

Tiger cubs now on public display at Auckland Zoo... http://www.stuff.co.nz/4695787a26642.html

We'll probably got for a look see whilst my folks are here even though it will be the school hols and the place will probably be packed. However think I might also try to go on a weekday sometime after the hols are over.

Milliemoo - still fancy a day trip?

Went today and they were out playing, it was awesome to watch! Playing with each other, stalking then pouncing on their mum. :nice1

We went with my folks during the school hols and as predicted the place was heaving. The cubs also got stage fright and didn't come out to play whilst we were there which was a bit disappointing but hey they're wild animals not performing seals!

Milliemoo - will be in touch about going sometime.
