I am a complete newbie to forums so please forgive any mistakes or dumb questions. I have been looking into moving to NZ for a while but didn't think it was going to happen (not enough points) but now have an interview for a job next week. Just a couple of short question to begin with. What would you concider to be a decent wage to get by on? I will have to come out on my own to begin with and will be based in Welly. I will have to send most of my wages back to the UK until the rest of my family can come out. What's the cheapest way to do this?

There have been several different discussions already as to what is a living wage in NZ. While waiting for the people already there to comment (often happens during UK night, for obvious reasons!), you could try using Search on the site - hit the link on the blue bar above.

Salary depends on what your outgoings are likely to be, how many people you'll be supporting and what ages they are, and where you'd be looking to settle. Search is probably your best friend to start with. :)
