Just a quick one, does anyone know what the hospitals are like up in Northland for working as a nurse.

what is the payscale for level 1 and is it possible to move up levels quickly

I think it's about $42000 basic for a new grad. The links to the NZNO scales have been posted on the forum a couple of times and if you do a search under "nurses salary" or similar, you should find them.
I can only speak for where I work, but the new grads start on their portfolios straight away and usually apply for Level 2 when they've completed their orientation ( 9 months ).
You can skip Levels thereafter, go straight from Level 2 to 4 etc.
