Hi everyone,
I am starting work tomorrow as an accounts and admin assistant after 8(!) Years of time-off... I had an interview on Thursday and an offer on Friday. They were generous in giving me Monday to get used to the idea and Tuesday 24/6 is my starting date!
Except for wanting to share my excitement with you guys, there are two other reasons for my writing. One is that it just shows that NZ NEEDS PEOPLE and not just in IT. Even if it is near-impossible to find work from afar, once you are here, you would be surprised how fast things can happen! The second is that I wanted to give you the contact details of my recruiter, Nicki Moakes, who made this happen. She is ex-British and has imported the British work ethic with her so, although extremely pleasant and relaxed, she tends to get things done much quicker than some fellow NZers... If you are looking for a role in accounts and/or finance in Wellington, Nicki is (based on my personal experience) your best bet. And no, this is not an advertisement and I do not get a percentage:yes
