Hi

I have a 16 year old daughter who has just completed GCSE and wants to complete her A level. She is very academic and is expected to do well in GCSE. i have looked at the i A level but they dont offer the subjects she wants to do in NZ (Psychology and Sociology). i have looked at NCEA but from what i can gather they arent that great? Anyone else moved with a 16 year old in this position? She now doesnt want to go anymore.

My 10 year old cant wait to go.

We have submitted ITA but have some queries with regard to mediclas which we are sorting with consultants and getting more reports. Have had a full offer on house so sale is going through. Have a telephone interview for job on Tuesday.

Am in a dilema as we have gone so far. Any suggestions?

Have you looked at the Universities? My son is 16 and just finished his GCSE's. We weren't too sure about what direction he would go. The Uni's offer a foundation course whereby they study this course for 6 months and then can go straight into Uni rather than finish years 12&13. Could be worth a try. :)

That sounds like worth a look. Good luck.

Or look at schools that offer IB as an alternative....there are a few more around offering this now.
