Hi everyone- due to be relocating to the Bay of Plenty in October and have had not much success with researching violin lessons for our 14 year old! Has anyone experience of this and any advice on where to look? He is quite advanced and attends Trinity college of music in London so this is quite a big issue for us.
Can anyone help ?
Thanks:)

Where in BoP? If Tauranga, there are three main musical instrument stores here which should be able to hook you up with instructors. After you have another post, you can pm me if you want their contact information.

Hi,
I have been living in Tauranga for 17 months, and looking for a voice and piano teacher.
So far the ones I have tried have learned more from me than I have from them. If your son is going to Trinity then I can appreciate the level he has reached.
I doubt very much whether he will find the same level of tuition as Trinity.
There could possibly be someone in Auckland or Wellington, but both will be a trek from BOP. There is a music school/college in Nelson, so It maybe appropriate to contact them as they may be able to help with a NZ wide list.
He may also find that NZ is a cultural backwater if he is playing at the level that Trinity require.
Good luck
