Ciao
Due to have medical in a few weeks and have a quick query please. It's the old BMI thingy again.... BMI should be (just!) within the range but belly measurement definitely not! Had fasting glucose and lipids done two weeks ago at my own GP and all fine. Have I anything to worry about and will they accept GP's results to save me money on extra tests as they are very recent?:)
Thanks

Sorry, but I doubt very much if they will accept the Gp's results. They usually follow procedures to the letter IMHO, but having had the right results once I am sure you will be fine
Good luck

Take the GP test results to your medical. My BMI was ok but waist was over (2cm if i remember correctly). The Panel Doc made me get fasting tests from GP then send results to him, (original lab copies). He then just added them to the rest of his paperwork. We sent it in and received PR in under 2 weeks.

They all seem to do things a little differently but certainly GP results were fine with NZIS in our case.

If I were you I think I'd take along the results from your own GP but also 'fast' prior to your medical just in case the panel doc insists on doing their own tests. I hadn't considered that I might need extra tests and it was a pain having to take more time off work to go back to have extra bloods taken. It also cost more! :roll

Good luck!
