Hello all,

I don't mean to bore you with stupid questions, but what are "papers" in terms of education? Is this what we in the US would call "classes"?

I've emailed NZICA to find out what I need to do to convert my US certification into a New Zealand certification and their response mentions papers. As in "You can either complete a degree level commercial law paper or the NZDipBus paper Introduction to Commercial Law."

I'm not sure what they mean and they are SOOOOO slow to respond, at the risk of asking a stupid question, I thought I'd check here.

Any thoughts, and sorry if this is a silly question....

As far as I know, yes, they are the same. I tell everyone I'm doing a class next term, but really, I think I'm doing a paper.

They say 'writing a paper' for 'taking an exam' here!

We attended a seminar by Otago University the other day at my daughter's college, and the speaker explained that "paper" means "subject".
