Hi all

I've just been offered some consultancy from my old employers which will come in really useful while we settle in. I'm wondering whether I should get them to pay me in the UK or in NZ?

I have to do a UK tax return anyway cos we are renting our house there but would like to claim allowances for the expenses that I'll incurr here.

Has anyone else had experince of this?

Yes, this is what I do. I get paid in pounds into my UK bank account, but I am taxed on that income in NZ. I have an accountant who is sorting out my tax returns here (and in the UK for me).
