Hi,
I am new here and wanted to ask for a couple of questions that I can't get from any books. Me and my husband is planning to move and work in NZ. I am from the Philippines and hoping I could talk to someone from Phils also but everyone are very welcome for any suggestion and help.
Thanks in advance,
Hanni

Can anyone please help on what would be my first step on planning to migrate in NZ? Do I need to look for a work or employer there before processing all the papers that we need? We are planning to apply as Work to residence or as Skilled Migrant. Not sure what would be the easiest. Sorry for the question. Looks like I don't know anything. We really want and are frustrated to work and reside in NZ.
Thanks for the warmth welcome

Hanni,
there are a few easy things you can do to get a grip on the best way forward.
Firstly on the NZIS website (http://www.immigration.govt.nz/) you can do a quick points calculation or indeed start filling in the EOI online form - this will give you an indication of your potential points score and give you a good idea about whether a job will be required or not.
If you have any qualifications or need NZ registration you can find that out now, so you can start planning on what needs doing in what order - you may need your qualifications assessed by NZQA etc. If you are not a native English speaker there will be some additional requirements on you - to prove your ability to communicate in English and also you may need to get some documents translated.
