This inspiring photo (taken from Island Bay) is dedicated to everyone here on the forum who's working hard to get their WTR or PR. Keep working hard at it! You will get there (here)....

Best wishes..

John

PS. This rainbow was soooo huge (wide) that I had to use my 10-22mm Ultra-wide lense (Canon) to get this. I was set at full 10mm wide! It's hard to see, but there is an Inter-Islander ferry and an Air NZ plane in the photo glowing in the sunlight! Ahhhhhh so nice!

I thought this too - a lot of the rainbows I see seem to be double ones - not sure why that is i never saw double ones in Uk:uhoh

Likewise, same in our office on the Terrace! Bet half of the guvmint wasn't getting any work done.;)

The sky was a really bizarre orange colour during it. We've have some classic rainbows in the last few weeks - really sharp and clean.

Another view of the same rainbow, from Kelburn. With a point and shoot I'm afraid! So worse quality. However, you can get a sense of scale. Those hills (Rimutakas) are several hundred metres high, and it's just bursting out of them very highly indeed.

Fantastic photo! It almost makes me want to come back - until I think of living in our old house in Welly in winter with a lovely SW wind...:laugh The weather here is pretty crap at the moment but at least we're warm and dry. I do miss the views in Welly though :o
