Hello folks,

We are selling our lovely 3 bedroom house in Rothesay Bay on the North Shore.

It is a wonderful little place with a fantastic garden, in a quiet area, walking distance to the local shops and bus stop for major bus routes across the Shore and the CCB.

Further details can be found on TradeMe:

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Property/Residential-Property/Houses-for-sale/auction-163987618.htm

If you know of anyone looking to buy in the East Coast Bays on the Shore please pass this on, thank you.

Rgds.,
Nick.

Gorgeous house, Nick. You on the move again? Are you staying around Auckland or moving somewhere else within NZ?

Beautiful! I love the space and the gardens. I am looking for something like this, but not so soon (in 1-2 years). Curious (asking those who stay in Northshore), how long would it take to commute to the city central across the bridge? I am looking for some estimates, like via car, bus and ferry. Thanks! :)

Hi Spooky,

Depends a great deal on where on the North Shore you end up!

I'm sure those living in Devonport and Birkenhead can give you an accurate picture regarding the ferry. As for us we live in Browns Bay but very close to East Coast Road & a bus stop. My OH catches the express bus into Queens St. every day and depending on how long he has to wait for a bus it takes roughly 30 - 40 mins. Have a look at this website for some schedules: www.maxx.co.nz

Oh thanks for the link! I have a friend who stays in Sunnynook (near Mairangi Bay) and she claims that it takes her 15 mins to drive to the CBD area? Is that true considering there's only that one bridge connecting the peninsula to Posonby/ Parnell area?

Could be true/possible as its all dependent on the time of day really!

Almost every Kiwi I know thinks Auckland traffic is awful but having lived in London I have to say that even when its at its worst it doesn't seem that bad. However, I'm not the one commuting into and out of the city every day! :laugh
