I've just sorted our flights out to Wellington in late August. Air New Zealand via LAX for the baggage. I asked about cabin allowance but it came out as 'what is our cabbage allowance' :o Nice lady understood me though.
Can't spell, write english or speak properly any more, no - not a drop this evening either :p
How do I get things sorted by then, I know many do it considerably quicker but I'm just having my organising panic - then I'll be fine:uhoh
The big thing is of course the house. We will give it another few weeks then decide to let if no sale.

Nice to get flights finally sorted and know that this time the date is fixed!!
Do big lists, blu-tac to the wall and gradually work your way through it......feels panicky when a day goes by and nothing to be crossed off but you have to live as well!

Well done on taking the plunge. At least you have a date to work to now. I have a spread sheet of all the things that need to be done and when by - I cross them off as I go. The trouble is the nearer we get to leaving the more there is to do :wah

well done on booking the flights:clap
we booked ours the other night we leave on 12 august and seem to be in the same boat as you, house not sold yet and looks like we'll have to rent it out, i panicked at the mention of your spreadsheets though, the only thing we have organised are the flights :wah:wah still got everything else to organise and to make matters worse been off all week with little one ( due to chicken pox) managed to get sod all done and wont get paid sick leave as it wasnt me who was sick ( and i dont think that the last words to my boss before i got the call from cams school were "well to be honest i do think you look alot bigger now than when i first started" obviously honesty isnt always the best policy.. well off to find more things that need doing but as usual wont be doing them as " surely it can wait"!!!

sweet pea don't worry about my spread sheets as I haven't got any yet either. Infact I also feel that I'm not doing enough but until we sell/rent and get a few weeks further on I don't think I can do much more. I have so far filled a skip with junk and exhausted the shredder :exit

You may find that suddenly there is heaps to do as D day gets nearer; we thought we were pretty organised but now its panic stations as various things have/are taking longer than expected ie. getting even more copies of passports certified, opening off shore accounts, steam cleaning. Added to that the kids have extra after school rehearsals for plays, dance etc, late nights taxiing them here and there for said plays, doing take-over notes for my job PLUS today we're having our leaving party for 100 + but it's raining!! Boo-hoo, we so need a nice afternoon for a BBQ. It's also our 17th wedding anniversary and it's always been sunny til this year. Trying to tell us something, like gooooooo to NZ!!

Yes it's that last minute panic I'm dreading. I feel I should be doing more. I am aiming to sort an ASB account as soon as we get passports back Offshore account I can tackle this week.

i was hoping we could do the bank account thingys once we get there, oops just goes to show i am seriously underestimating everything. OH last night announced he wants the leaving do the weekend before we fly:wah as i dont want one at all!!! oh and to make things worse, ive got work at 1pm and OH just rang to say, can you get the house all tidied up as we have a viewer comming at twelve ( to rent not buy :() to which i replied sure honey no problems only the dryer just broke the dishwashers just water all over the kitchen and cameron ( our 8 yearold) is refusing to let me open the living room curtains and says no ones comming in the living room cos hes covered head to toe in chicken pox
im sure i must have been really bad in a past life:yes because im seriously stressed to the point where i just cant stop laughing, maybe mild hysteria setting in.
must dash the men in the white coats are here for me now:p
