Hi,

I'm new to this, I've been looking for something to clear our vision of how this really works. We have a bit of a situation which lies us stuck.

We spoke to the visa companies here based in Glasgow and Edinburgh- and they've said for a visa because my husband's already had a working holiday visa, it's best to find a job offer then apply for a visa. So as you probably see alot of them are saying because we've not got a visa, Ive had to explain and one said oh yeah I'm familiar with the system so I understand which where we thought as my husband had an interview but he didn't get the job. It's much harder now.. I don't know where else to look as I've looked at billions of websites and nothing is helping, friends over in NZ are keeping an eye out for us. But I think main problem is the visa.

My husband is a web developer, photographer and has lots of computing skills and I'm a jewellery designer which isn't much for NZ's skill as I'm planning to set up my own business later on so I'm looking for any jobs.

We'v thought about going over and apply for visa over there, but means we'd have to buy a return ticket?

Has anyone been through this and how it is better etc?

I'm not quite clear on what your situation is.

Are you saying your husband HAS a current visa, right now? If so, how long does it have to run?

If his Working Holiday Visa has expired, I don't see a problem with you applying for one of the different kinds of visa.

If you travel to NZ without having a job to go to (or full PR), then you would have to have return tickets, yes.
