Does anyone have any experience on setting up a postal box BEFORE arriving in NZ?

Any recommendations? Looking at the websites we would prefer NZ Post but have not yet figured out how we can get NZ Post postal box before we arrive in the country.:confused:

JandM, that's great, thanks! So although NZ Post can apparently (according to the previous thread) set up a postal box after a lot of phone-calling and fax-sending, this seems like a lot of effort.

Anyone's personal experience on Private Box (http://www.privatebox.co.nz/) would be greatly appreciated.

Been using privatebox.co.nz for a couple of weeks now and find it amazingly easy and flexible. You can change the forwarding address any time and documents are scanned to pdf quickly upon request. Mind you, if you expect to receive large amounts of mail it might become pricey.

I am also using private box. Easy to use. Haven't got anything important mailed there yet, so we'll see.

You can set up a NZ PO Box in advance. I and others did it:) You've just got to a) make sure you actually "submit" the request and b) allow a couple of days for finalising a PO Box location via emails before faxing your deatails over. I've had not problems at all.
