We found some land we quite liked near Prebbleton, until we found out the price that is! 10 acres bare land for $500k! Don't like it quite so much now:no

Is that expensive or is it just me?

That seems very expensive for just land! People are buying 3 bed houses with barns on 10 acres for that much round here!! I'd want an oil field under the land for that price :p

Does it have fencing for smaller areas? Does it have a shelter belt/mature trees? Does it have its own water supply? All makes a difference, but still sounds really expensive.

Perhaps it is subdividable and good for investors who want to put in a few houses?? That would push up the price...

Yep very expensive! reasons behind it, is pebbleton are too close to chch! lands cost more as nearer get to chch...
Further away from chch, the land become cheaper :yes

It had a shelter belt, but I don't know what services if any it had. When I found out the price I didn't enquire further:D
wasn't subdividable either:no

I don't fancy more than a 30 minute commute to ChCh though, did enough of that in the UK.

Maybe land prices will suddenly fall and the exchange rate will improve, *sigh*
