I had my visa back within ten days! It would have been back much more quickly but I had to send them a letter confirming my qualifications. So i think i would have probably have had it back within 3-4 days.

So just a rough idea for anyone applying this time of year.

Cheers

Andrew

what job have you got lined up?

I have a job working as an audiologist. So the job entails testing peoples hearing, fitting hearing aids, rehab work.

Apparently they have 20 advertised jobs in New Zealand and no one applies for them. Basically because I have a friend in OZ and they have jobs as audiologist for 75k! where in NZ they will only get 30K (converted to UK money). So the graduates they do have just skip over!

haha well it started out promisingly enough however I realised it was too soon as I started taking things out to wear and they got mixed up with stuff I wasn't taking. So I think Ill do another 4 days before I go! that way I can keep stuff in there locked away!

Dare I ask then: what drove you to NZ as opposed to Oz? :D

Well money isn't everything so I never thought about that aspect of it. I never really looked too far into Oz as I liked the Idea of NZ soo much. I have no real reasons and I may indeed try it out in the future. The spiders and the temperature may put me off haha
