Hello All

New in here and need help please, I am doing the EOI on line and double checking everything, as its frightning, but once I submit how long does it take for a reply ? :oops: lots of questions to ask

Welcome to the site

From memory, once you submit it will ask you for a credit card number. Once that has gone through, the status will be something like "SUBMITTED". This happens quickly, maybe straight away or at least within a day. The next thing that happens is that every couple of weeks I think, a new selection is made. They announce the points needed to be selected, and if you have claimed this amount or more, your status will change to "SELECTED".

After this it seems to take several weeks before anything happens. I am at this stage. From other posts, it seems that anyone with a job offer will be dealt with first, and the rest of us probably have to wait several months.

Hi Pamela

When do you think you will be ready to submit your eoi as there is due to be a pool dip Weds 15th. and fortnightly after that. We were picked out in the last one and if you are awake as we were at 5 am on the Tues morning you can see the change to selected !!! I must admit to having had a headache and butterflies since then!! We had a 115 points and the selection point was 100 how many points do you have?
I don't know how long we will have to wait now it was 4-6 weeks to get the invitation to apply but the general feeling is that this will be delayed now, we don't have a job offer but are working on this one in a bid to jolly things along a bit!!!
Anyway I wish you luck and hope you have good nerves!

I meant to say 5 am on the wednesday morning not the Tues (getting my time differences the wrong way round it must be all the anxiety!!!)
