had a thought that for every one of us trying to sell our house to emigrate, there may be a counterpart in NZ trying to do the same thing!
has anyone thought of this before? if so, what was the consensus?

Hi
In a perfect world this would have been a great solution. However, since the average house in the UK costs at least twice as much as its counterpart in NZ (as does the rent...) a straightforward 'swap' is not really practical :)

I'd be interested too in a swap while the housing market is dead. we've been on the market for 2 months and not a sniff at a sale...we've knocked $50,000 off the price last week so it's now being sold for what we paid for it 3 years ago, but still no interest. People in NZ are not even looking, let alone buying.

Hi. May be a long shot but just wondering if anyone here has a small house in good area for sale within 20 miles of Horsham as we are looking to buy there asap.
