Hello all,

We are planning to submit our ITA in about a month. I don't have a job offer but was selected from the EOI pool. We had 125 points and got selected after a month or so when the selection points dropped. If all our information checks out, should we expect to be picked? If not I would assume that the application fee is gone? I did a feeble search to get the information from old posts but there is so much stuff posted on the ITA that it is hard to sort out.

Cheers,
:)

Hi, Scibby! We didn't have a job offer either and had fewer points than you. All of our information and support documentation checked out, and we recently learned that we have been granted a visa. Basically, if you are pulled from the pool and you can support all your claims with acceptable documentation, you should be fine. I know how you feel, though--I asked myself the same question OFTEN.

About the application fee--I assume that it is what it says and that it goes toward the process of vetting your application. So it doesn't make sense for them to refund it after they have done that work.

Good luck to you! --S.

1st, you will certainly question yourself ... a lot, even though you are 99% sure you are right.
If you can prove that the points you claimed are accurate and supply evidence of this, then it will be OK. You only have to prove what you put on your EOI.
