Hello,
I've got two BS degrees. My first degree is not connected with my current ocupation, however, I've been working in asolute skills shortage area for 5 years. During this time I studied 4 years extra-murally and got the second BS degree in 2007. The second degree is exactly relevant to my work.
Will NZQA(NZIS) recognize my experiences that I had had before completion of the second degree?

Yes they will.
I hope so :)
You know, I had been assessed (successfully) by Australian ACS before. Their's guideline states: Applicants in Group A must have at least four (4) equivalent years of full-time relevant ICT experience at professional level Fortunately that time I proved that my first degree was closely related with ICT. However, we have a different system in NZ, qualifications are treated more strickly.
Have you seen something about this in NZIS documents or it's just your's "IMHO"?

We were selected (and are now processing our ITA) based on the following:
*Points for 4-6 years of work experience in an area on the LTSSL (Satellite and radio communications)
*A qualification (level 7) in an area of absolute skill shortage (same as the LTSSL) in Computer Science.
The qualification was obtained after the experience and they are in two different areas.
Since we were selected based on the experience first with the qualification adding extra points I feel I can safely say that they will weigh the experience first and then the qualification will add more points. The order you got them in is of little importance to NZIS.
As long as your experience was in a comparable labor market and was full time it will be fine.

hi guys,
just want to ask about work experience..
how about, if I have experience listed on LTSSL (food technologist) and full time for up to 5 years but the first 3.5 years not in comparable market.
Can I claim it for getting bonus point ? as I read on LTSSL requirement for "...3 years work experience in the industry "
thank you in advance...

Yes, you can claim points for your work experience and bonus points as well because if your job is in the area of absolute skills shortage, your need not have worked in a comparable labour market.

We were selected ...
Thank you! Good luck with your ITA!
I feel myself more confident and patient now :)
If only my country was in compatible labor market!
Nevertheless, if I'm not selected, I'll wait a little until 6th year of my work expereance in order to get additional 15 points. I'm doomed to success :D

to nanskris,
have you had experience with bonus point for work experience in comparable labour market ?
if the rule is changing now (as you said not need to work in comparable labour market as long as the work experience is in LTSSL), I will be very very happy as I can get the bonus point for my EOI:clap
please share your experience........

Hi,
There is no new rule. It is mentioned in SM11.10 b on Pg 31 of the EOI guide [Doc No. NZIS 1101]
All the details you need are comprehensively mentioned in the documents supplied by NZ Immigration. You just need to read carefully and fully :)
