we have learned to pack a crate full of favourite foods when moving. that way when your gear arrives you have this strange banquet of familiarity - when you have been in a different place for several months it feels vv nice.

I took a tub of Marmite with me, and shipped a couple over. Ran out about a week before the shipping arrived, but now you can get it over here, it wasn't a problem!

Has anyone else noticed the location in the latest Marmite ad. on TV here?
It looks very much like an NZ town, from the style of the buildings to the road markings for parking spaces.

Having said that, I don't think they'd get away in the UK with those ads I've seen here for the Red Bull type drink here where it shows a peaceful scene and then this bloomin' horrid screechy face suddenly appears on the screen and scares the PANTS of you!! :eek :laugh Nearly gave me a heart attack the first time I saw it!

My fave is that old guy selling lawnmowers...can't remember the make or anything, but he's sooo down to earth & matter of fact.

And you just know it's the guy who's built them...he's so wooden & self-conscious.

The ad that I love best is the Vero "Bull in the china shop", aparently where he snuffles the expensive plate they put some cow urine on it. What a classic.
