Hi everyone,
We've finally been sent our medicals back now. The medical place has sent them both in the same envelope and said we are fine to open it and read them. I''ve heard somewhere that this would make them void if we opened the envelope, does anyone know if this is true?
Thanks

I had my chest x-ray done on a Friday and couldn't get my medical until the Monday. I was told that I should not open my envelope containing the x-ray certificate - it had to go to the GP first. Now that the medical has been carried out I can look at both documents. I think it's because you could put in a different x-ray, or tamper with the results prior to them getting to the GP. The Dr could demand a new x-ray certificate if I'd tampered with the envelope.......an expensive sneeky peek!

We were told for NZ it is fine to look at medicals but different countries have different rules and I think they said applications for Ozzie you aren't allowed to open.

I agree that different countries have different rules. Here in the Manila, the medical officer asked us if we wanted copies of the medical, I paid like $35.00 for the copies but it was worth it. They had to seal it and it was only in the embassy that they opened it. IMHO, its wise to keep copies of those for future reference, especially if you plan to change the status of your visa.
Wow... I still can't believe it... :raebanana

When all necessary information was collected on our medical forms, I sent them in an envelope with my ITA. There really isn't much not to see! Except a few numbers, comments and normal/normal/normal cheque boxes.
Have a little thrill today and take a look!

Cheers Guys, I might just take a little sneaky peak when they arrive today then. Good point about getting a photocopy aswell, could definately save us a few pounds in the long run!! Thats it then I guess! We should have the Visas in the next couple of weeks, then flying out in October, cant wait to get away from all this rain!
