Can't even start to think what that would have cost in the UK though Helen, a hell of a lot more than £50 - £60 I'm sure!

On another note, isn't this the second time you've done this?

Mark. :P

You are not having much luck in the key dept. are Moorf. Maybe you should get a big heavy keyring this time so you notice it`s absence easily.
On the car front. Do the NZ AA not do the same service as there brit counterparts, IE get you into the car free of charge if you ara a member?

i think you should get one of those bendy/ stretchy surfer dude thingy's they use to attach the board as an addit limb for your keys. if you feel it might look unfash just send one to d becks for new kid and cross your fingers he/ daddio gets snapped wearing it...

i used to lose keys, exp pens, sunglasses and wallets all the time. the final straw was losing a fab fountain pen before arriving at home - had to pay for it the next month. bitter. wallets/ gloves now red, glasses still pricey but rare, pens a dozen cheapies a time, keys on one of those ski-tag thingy's that recoil instantantly into pocket or attached to specific hook bit inside handbag. may sound like woody allan but stress reduction makes all worth while...

:laugh Mark!! You're doing it again !! £50-£60?? We're on Kiwi money and $160 is worth alot more :? (Don't worry, I still do this myself from time to time but Woz keeps me in check!)....

Leslie... parcel en route to Cruise or whatever baby no. 3 is called ...!

Timbo - frighteningly, I had left my windows open a little so the interior didn't heat up and Woz managed to get his hand in and open it :eek in the car was my wallet, my shopping and our digicam/walking boots and rucksack... guess who won't be "airing" her car again! :no

No harm done though (except I WILL have to sit through much ribbing from Woz for the next few days :? )... oh, did I tell you he reversed the car into the post box last week? (still getting my money's worth out of that one :laugh )...

That's the same amount as I have had to fork over in speeding tickets so far! I don't know 2 speeding tickets in 12 years in the uk, and so far 2 in two months over here. Still at least I'm still on my UK licence- so no points yet!
I think you get used to driving at a certain speed, and after time you get to naturally know when you're going over that without looking at the speedometer - it's just my inbuilt speedo is 15km/h too high still!

That's a s-h-o-r-t skirt.. not a *** one!!
