Greetings!
May I consult anyone who has experience in the processing time of either Work to Residence or regular work VISA.
My employment is eligible for both types of VISA, please comment which one is likely to be approved earlier (preferably no longer than 30 days).
I have intention to work permanently in NZ but should I apply for general work VISA to avoid any delay (I think this track is faster than WTR?)
Is it necessary to supply a documentation of "accredited employer" in VISA application dossier in case I go to "Work to Residence" track.
Thank you in advance for information you could provide.:nice1

I have just submitted a WTR application and believe these to be faster as accredited employers need to satisfy less hurdles. In my application I submitted my signed contract with the employer which they said was enough.

Thanks Alan, would you please let me know if there is any list of "accredited employer"?

While waiting for my PR application to go through, which seemed to be taking a long time, I applied for the WTR visa. I sent in the application on June 23 and got an email on July 15 stating that my application was approved. And that was with a little glitch with my lab test results...so 3 weeks didn't seem to bad.
With the WTR your employer needs to fill out the Employer Supplementary Form (NZIS 1113). Mine is an accredited employer, so he filled it out for me and had it back to me within the hour! He didn't seem to fill out the whole form (I guess because of the accredited employer status) and he also sent me a copy of their accreditation certificate to hand in as well (although I'm not sure if that's actually required).
If I can help you out any more, you can PM me if you'd like.
Good luck with everything!
:)

Leanne I have just checked the form and the NZ1113 form is only required for jobs on the Long Term Skill Shortage List otherwise just an offer will do.

You managed to frighten me though as I thought I had forgotten something in my application!

Oops! Sorry about that! :o Didn't mean to give you a heart attack or anything...as if we need any more stress than we've already got. I'm just finding it hard at times to keep all of the info in order. Good luck with your application as well.

There is an accredited employer list posted on the INZ website. If you go into the working towards residence, there is a toolbox on the right hand side. That is where you will find the accredited employers list.

However I believe employers have the option to opt out of being on the public list if they want.
