Hello everyone,
I'm new to this site and just wondered if anyone could give me some information on the emigration process to New Zealand. My husband is a Joiner so we would be going on his trade. Is it the same process as emigrating to Australia i.e. points or is it a totally different process altogether?
I look forward to reading your replies.
Thank you,
Joanne:nice1

Hello!
If you check out their website http://www.immigration.govt.nz/ then it gives you lots of info. You can check out the options list which is in the middle of the first page. it goes through the skilled catagories etc....

Hi,
Welcome to the forum. Like AndyR said, have a look at the website which will help enlighten you a bit more about the Skilled Migrant Category. There is also a quick Points Indicator which will help you work out how many points you may be eligible to claim for before you start the process.
All the best,
Julie

Thanks everyone for your welcome, there are just a couple of points I cannot quite get my head around:
1. How much work experience is required for trades (Joiner). OH re-trained as joiner last year so only has 1 year up to now.
2. Would NVQ/C&G 2 equate to NZ Level 4 or not?
Thanks everyone.
