In a bit of a huff this morning.

The builders on our apartment block haven't really disturbed us too much, but as it's now getting towards the end of the project they appear to have started working at the weekend...ie: this morning ......at 8am!

Now I'm up and about anyway (as any girl who likes shopping is) but I can't say I'm thrilled about circular saws going off at this time on the weekend.

Are their any noise control laws/guideline that say you can't start work till at least 10am or something?

doesn't matter.....apparently it's 7.30am on a Saturday! Not aloud to work on a Sunday though.

Just for your interest, we have building work going on all the time where we are as they build more property and North Shore Council issued us with the permitted times for working. I would assume the same applies for Devonport.
These are
Mon -Friday except holidays 7.00am -7.00pm
Sat 7.30am -6.00pm
Sundays Not allowed except by special agreement with all involved.
In the event of any emergencies, gas leaks etc, then work can be carried out at any time.

This is over a year old but would think it still applies. Only once did builders ever go over this and the management came down on them quickly and stopped it.
