Hi Guys
We are living and working in NZ on a Temp Work Visa.
We were granted the Visa on 12/12/07 and arrived in NZ on 29/12/07.
The Visa is due to run out on 30/09/08.
We are applying for an extension.
I seem to recall that any stays of a year or over require a medical.
If this is the case does anyone know if that year runs from the 12th December last year,when we were granted the Visa, or the 29th when we arrived in country.
The reason Im asking is that we are booking our return flights and if we face medicals we will book to leave within the year and apply for an extension that would bring us in short of the year.
Sorry its a complicated story.
Any help appreciated as I cant find the answer on the NZIS site.

I case anyone is interested the NZIS have said after visiting them this morning that our Visa runs from the time we landed in NZ,so in our case our year would be from the 29th December.
We will be going home on the 17th.
Provided we gat our extension that is:)
