For all of you who are already there, how is the global situation affecting the job market at the moment?
My oh is a HGV driver, so we have to look for work once we get there as 'tourists'.
We haven't as yet sold the house but have had a couple of viewings this last week which is more than we have had since April!!
We so desperately want to get there, but both our jobs are as secure as you can guarantee, so don't want to go if things are a bit shaky at the mo.
Any info would be great, especially from the few who work in the same area.

Hmmm.... well my OH is IT Management and not a lot has changed for him. However I know of at least two people in IT who have recently been made redundant/taken redundancy but I don't know all the circumstances behind it so it may not be purely due to the credit crunch.
