Hi Ladies & Gentlemen,
First of all, a small intro- I am a computer guy who applied to emigrate recently and EOI was selected. My case officer just emailed me telling me they wish to view my documents. I thought this was usually the case when we are submitting the ITA and not before saying the selected EOI was actually accepted/....
Has this ever happened to anyone? Or, what could this mean? Just a bit curious!
Cheers!

We were asked for proof of OH qualification, so we scanned in the certificate and emailed it, that was sufficient and we were then sent our ITA 2 days later.

I also recently received a request from my case officer to send them a copy of my qualification. I was then told that I will have to get a pre-assesment (PAR) from NZQA and get at least a level six before because I also claimed points for work experience of the shortage area. I think they ask for this if you did not pre-asses your qualifications and they are not sure if your qualification really justifies the points you claimed.

Hi Liz and Beater,
Thanks for the information.
I have a master degree which is in the "recognised" list and a bachelor degree that is not recognised. However, I have mentioned this clearly in my EOI.
Just want everything to sail smooth. (If you know what I mean!)

Hi and welcome to the forum.
When we where selected OH was ask to send details about his jobs that hes claiming claiming points for, they seemed to be happy about the job descriptions he gave and we got our ITA the following week, so good luck

I saw something on the news the other day that since the removal of the head of immigration as her qualifications were false alledgedly, they are thoroughly checking everyones qualifications so this is probably why they are now asking to see certificates before ITA.

Same thing happened to me. They wanted proof of my Electrical Qualifications, fortunately I had just recieved my assessment back from NZ. Once I sent them this I got an ITA.
Cheers
Andrew.

Look at it this way. They are checking before you have to pay a large fee for the ITA and then they check - could save you money as quals and supposedly skilled jobs (claiming too many points) is the common cause of failures.
