Hi,

I am working in IT industry and had via phone interviewed with one of the MNC in NZ. After few rounds of interview, the hiring manager request to have at least two professional reference checks which they can get feedback from them before hiring me.

Is that a "norm" in NZ?

I have few rounds of interview, request reference checks, but until now still not touch on the salary and other relocation benefit.

Anyone here having the same experience for job interview? :confused:

For the job I have secured that was exactly how it went, also if you applied to them then don't be too surprised if there is no relocation package.

Yes, it's normal to have reference checks. And we did get a relocation package. All depends on the employer!
