Hi

All you super helpfull people out there, Could you let me know what Napier is like to live in,
mainly the nearer the beach the better, from what we have read into, we realise that there are safer swimming beaches south of Napier but my wife loves the beach and we are looking into the area.
Anything would be helpful.

Thank you
Tim

Hi

We've been in Napier for a year, and love it.
When we got here, a few people said "Welcome to Paradise",
which I thought was a bit arrogant, but after a few days we realised they were right!
Napier beaches are volcanic stone, you can swim and there is surf rescue.
But just 20 mins drive is Ocean Beach. A beach bums paradise. Soft sandy beach.
There are a few other beaches within easy driving distance, although we've not tried them cos' we're not really beach lovers.
Napier life is relaxed and easy-going.
Everything you might need is here, and Hastings is only 20km down the road.
Taupo is 150km for a weekend away.
Stunning scenery, friendly people.
The art-deco weekend is a fantastic party & celebration. The whole town goes back in time to the 1930's and remembers 1931 devastating earthquake.
Any questions and i'll try my hardest to help.
It's a bit difficult to summarise Napier.

Nick.:cheers
