Skype should be fine as long as both sides have a fast internet connection. Use a headset, rather than rely on the mike and speakers on the webcam. Then you need to practice and test your setup and make sure the lighting is sufficient at the time of day for your interview. Try and use a contact in NZ for this if you can.

First thing to do is go to Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en/) website and download and install their software.
Once you have it installed then you can create a unique account for yourself for when you log on.
Would definitely recommend a headset to use with Skype, just check for a compatible one that will normally just plug into one of your USB ports.
Once Skype is running you can call other users on their computers and talk as if on the phone, it really is simple to use. You can also pay for Skype out which allows you to dial real phones and talk from your computer (the phone charges are less than a traditional phone and call quality is generally better).

If you need to do a practise call then im sure there are a few of us on the forum that are willing to be test subjects.
