We woke up this morning to a courier ringing our bell with a package from INZ Christchurch. In it was our application forms for PR under the partnership category and my medical form and letter stating our application was incomplete - missing my full birth certificate, evidence of my partner's citizenship and my passport or a copy of my passport.

We submitted all these items with all the forms and evidence of partnership in a folder with sub sections and a contents page clearly indicating where each bit of information could be found. We can't understand how INZ cannot have these items. :uhoh

Annoyingly it is Saturday morning so we have to wait out the weekend before we can call anyone to establish what has happened. It also looks like we can't even talk to the person who sent us the letter as the contact number is an Auckland one, so I'm guessing it is the INZ call centre number.

Has this happened to anyone else? The process has been so stressful, I can't believe this is happening.

Hi There,

We got an email from our CO (just before he went home for the weekend) stating that our urgent work visa application is pending on receipt of our police certificate. This was indeed stressful as we had plane tickets to Wellington for the following week and the police cert (from Israel) has taken ages to obtain. We lost sleep over it during the weekend but it was all sorted Monday morning. There are good chances that they find your docs too - they can be disorganised and sometimes docs get misplaced (when more than one person is dealing with a case) but I am sure that they will turn up!

Just get over this weekend in one piece! Best of Luck.

INZ doesn't like folders, dividers or anything else other than the required paperwork. I hope that wasn't the problem.

All resolved :)

Someone at INZ had seperated the evidence from the application forms and the person processing the application forms wasn't aware that the rest of our application was sitting in a cupboard :uhoh

Now I have to pay to have the forms couried back to Christchurch! But I'm feeling mightly relieved that our identity documents haven't been lost/stolen.

Glad to hear the documents you sent to INZ and were missing have been found. I can understand how stressful that must have been on you.
We sent my husband's application in a folder, we also had sub sections and a cover page and had no problems.

Good luck and I hope you don't have to wait too long for a decision on your application.

Cheers,

Suzanne.
