Hi
our eoi was selected from the pool on 18/6/08 with 105 points and no job offers. does anyone know how long it normally takes for the ita to arrive? does it take longer if there is no job offer and if i am offered a job can it speed up the process? After so much activity this lull in unnerving me!!

I'm afraid you're in 'piece of string' land here. It could come tomorrow - it could take weeks. They're a law unto themselves. Welcome to the rollercoaster. There'll be plenty more ups and downs yet! Buckle up.:)

Hi Willow,
With a job offer you'd have the ITA ( and the CO ) within a week or 2 of selection and you'd get your blue stickers within a week or 2 of submitting the ITA. A job offer makes a huge difference to the time scales, it goes too quickly for some, especially if you have a house to sell.

Have a look at our timeline below, it seems like it can take forever!

I'm afraid after selection, you have to wait for 'decision successful' before you're issued with the ITA. I was checking every day to see if it changed! It took 2weeks for ours to change even with a job offer....but we then received the ITA the next day.
Good Luck

I heard about 2 months is the average waiting time if you don't have a job offer - but some people have waited longer (and some haven't even waited 2 months) - like above post said 'piece of string' really.

enjoy the ride! We're right there with ya... The London branch's site says it could take about 3-4 months with out a job...

I guess the time taken depends on several factors like from where you have applied, job offer etc., It also depends on how many EOI's your CO has on hand.

Hi
our ita arrived through the post on saturday.
so now the fun can begin!! we are now on the roller coaster of medicals etc etc........
for some reason i am dreading the medicals.... don't know why, we are all well and healthy(apart from my hypothyroidism which i think will be fine), i think it is part of the process that is out of our control and we are relying on our bodies not to let us down!!
why is it you toddle through your life not really worrying about your liver/renal functioning etc, but as soon as the medicals for new zealand come up you start thinking you are quietly terminally ill and your body hasn't told you yet!! or you have some disease that you haven't even heard of yet that will mess up your application! i have even given the dog a couple of sardines to make sure she is up to scratch on the health front!
i can tell this is going to be rather stressful......................

the upside is that at the end of the medicals you get confirmation that there's not much wrong with you :D
